What happened this month:

• Tim was gone :[ but he comes back SATURDAY!
• I trained for a triathlon
• Cut my hair, twice
• Gotten more tan
• My parent's finally sold their house and bought a new one in Portland, OR.
• Read some good books, and didn't finish some not-so-good ones
• Learned the joys of sitting outside the PMA for free in the forest
• Switched my birth control and now don't feel like a crazy person (well, back to "normal" I mean)
• Finished some paintings
• Ran 2 miles in a day!
• Bought a couch chair for $8
• Accidentally killed plants
• Watched every episode of the Office. I mean it. Every. Single. Episode.
• Finished BIO 181 and it's lab!
• Decided to drop my geology minor
• Began the grad school hunt with Tim
• Saw The Happening (thumbs down) and Mamma Mia (thumbs up)
• Decided I want to go to Greece.
  

Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

today is the day

I RAN TWO MILES



I walked half a mile, then ran one, then walked another half, then ran awholenother fucking mile then walked one more to cool down. Yet, my face is still, as always when I run, red as hell. I think I heard 3 frat boys walking by comment on "how pink her face is" because my iPod died, but I ran with it in my ears anyways.



If they had said something else or something I could for sure hear, I would have flipped them off and it would have been glorious, but I didn't because I couldn't really tell, but they each looked at me, haha.


update:
and I truly believe 7 people living here will be too many people in one living area. Already, someone moved in sometime last night and she took all of someone else's stuff out of a small cupboard by the sink and put it on the table and put her stuff in it instead. Also she brought a bunch of pots and utensils and has shoved them in the pots/pans cupboard even though they obviously aren't going to be used immediately because they are wrapped together in packing tape. I don't think I'm going to like this chick and I haven't even seen her yet, but I think she's an exchange student, all her food is in Chinese labeling.

Avocado

I've been trying to sprout an avocado pit for the last week or so, it's been sitting in a little water in a jar outside in the sun on the back door deck. Today I'm sitting outside reading and both Amy and Monica ask me what I'm growing so I tell them. So they ask, so you think it will really turn into another avocado? And I was like...wow, seriously? and told them no, actually it might sprout into a plant and become an avocado tree if the refrigeration didn't kill it.

SERIOUSLY? hahahahaha an avocado pit turn into another magical avocado? Wow. WOW. Monica is a BIOLOGY major and you know, Amy lives on this planet?

Bi-cycle

Tim doesn't swim, at least not laps and or distances or for lengths of time. But when he comes home, he says he wants to run with me, I told him he could run and bike and be a biathlete, but I'm not sure if I'm okay with him being part gay. Oh, I'm so clever. At least he thought it was cute enough to play along haha

I dropped my summer school class after being in it for an hour. All the kids were fresh out of the previous class or retaking it so they knew what was going on. I, on the other hand, was like... wait, what's a preterit verb in English? And besides, I was reminded that I have 2 years left, I don't want to get too burned out after lagging last Spring and just finishing up 2 summer classes. So I dropped. Geh. I probably just should have found a project or a fun internship I could have counted for my capstone class. Bummer.

I'm excited to paint my 3 cheap canvases from Goodwill, but first I'm going to get my butt out of here (after my FOUR hour morning nap) and go workout so I can continue in my goals of triathloning.

The trees can talk to the bushes!

Today I:
-Painted a sunflower and am happy with it
-Ran 1 1/4 miles at once without dying (and an extra 1/4 warm up to begin)
-Saw the Happening. Basically, we fuck with the earth, the plants fuck back with toxins and "rapidly evolve" to do so. Bullshit, I say. Bullshit silliness.
-Bought a decent end table and a nice picture frame for $5!
-Learned about grizzlies from Tim in Montana
-Relaxed away my Saturday :]
